You will not have to worry about strength on the Type 38. P.O. Ackely did a lot of work with this action and never mananged to blow it. I believe it has a chrome lined chamber. (May be wrong) If so it...

Another reason I have hesitated on rechambering is that it is such a sweet shooter, howbeit with expensive Norma. Recoil is about like a 22 magnum.
